Our Mission
Wrestling is one of the oldest and most strategic sports in the world — but it's never had a game that truly captures what makes it special. MatGrind changes that.
We set out to build a card game that rewards real wrestling knowledge. Not a button-masher. Not a random dice roll. A game where understanding setups, chain wrestling, positioning, and stamina management gives you a real competitive edge.
Our mission is simple: grow the sport of wrestling through accessible, strategic gameplay. Whether you're a seasoned wrestler who lives on the mat or someone discovering the sport for the first time, MatGrind meets you where you are.
The Game
MatGrind features over 90 wrestling move cards spanning three authentic styles: folkstyle (NFHS/NCAA), freestyle (UWW/Olympic), and Greco-Roman (UWW/Olympic). Every card represents a real wrestling technique — from single-leg takedowns and fireman's carries to gut wrenches and arm throws.
The chain wrestling system lets you link setup moves into powerful attacks, just like real mat sequences. Counter cards add a layer of reads and mind games. Stamina management forces you to pace yourself across periods. And the move timer keeps the pressure on.
Play solo against adaptive AI opponents, share a device with a friend in local 2-player mode, or compete online in ranked multiplayer matches. Track your progress with XP, levels, achievements, and detailed match history.
